Phone and Text Messages
Automated, computer generated text messages and phone calls
are being made to Franklin County residents claiming that
their debit or credit card has been deactivated and asking
for a call back. If you do respond they ask for personal
info, such as your account number or pin code. This is a
scam - DO NOT give them your information.
Rest assured your accounts are safe, as long as you do not
respond to these messages with personal information. The
scammers do NOT have access to any account information.
There is no need to contact us unless you have given out
your info. They also do not have your phone number; it has
been randomly dialed by computer.
Franklin First has no need to ask you for your account
numbers - we already know what it is. Never give any
personal information over the phone to someone you cannot
identify.
